Cherylmarie is a young talented singer who has won the hearts of growing legions of fans in her various concerts in Southern California, for which she’s been aptly known as “L.A.’s singing sweetheart.” A true artist, her unique voice and singing style has endeared her to countless followers, a broad section of both the Filipino-American as well as the mainstream community. The recent release of her debut CD, distributed by BMG Records in Manila has further cemented her place as one of the legitimate young artists in the pop music world.
Cherylmarie always sings from the heart, her innocent and fresh yet soulful articulation is readily evident to discerning listeners. Gifted with an innate musicality, she also plays various musical instruments such as the piano, guitar and has her own drum set. More importantly, she is now writing her own original compositions which will be featured in her next CD.
Cherylmarie does not only excel in the entertainment arena, she was also a consistent honor student in the prestigious Notre Dame high school in Sherman Oaks, California, and recenly graduated from University of California, Irvine with a double major in Drama and Film & Media Studies; certainly a pride of her doting parents, Charles Simbulan, a CPA and state tax auditor and Nimfa, a registered nurse. That Cheryl is beauty, talent and brains combined comes as no surprise. Older sister Christine is a commercial model, an academic scholar in college and was recently crowned Miss RP-USA besting different candidates from all over the United States.
