Cherylmarie’s first album, “Sige Na Nga” instantly made waves both in the United States and in the Philippines. Her songs were written and produced by mainstream American songwriters and top Filipino composers such as Paul Mosser, Vehnee Saturno, Jimmy Borja and Odette Quesada, to name a few. It’s carrier single, composed and arranged by Borja, quickly gained tremendous airplay in various FM stations in Manila.
A bonus Christmas track, “Si Santa Klaus”, also penned by Borja, became an instant favorite among radio listeners during the Christmas season because of Cheryl’s heart-rending interpretation of a an ingeniously written Christmas tune. Sure enough, her debut album is a perfect mix of power ballads, light-preppy tunes, mid-tempo and danceable tracks that certainly appeal to a wide range of music lovers.
